Bukovyn: budgets of all levels received more than 422 million UAH of taxes in January 2020

Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region reported that the taxpayers transferred 422.2 million UAH of the tax payments to the consolidated budget – this is 53.4 million UAH or 14.6% more than in January 2019.

Acting head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region Borys Akimenko noted that the revenues growth was achieved almost upon all major payments including the personal income tax, VAT, single tax, land payment and military levy.

“During January 2020, the state budget received taxes amounting more than 176.0 million UAH and local budgets received 246.1 million UAH. Compared to January 2019, the increase in tax payments to the state budget have exceeded 30.0 million UAH and to the budgets of local communities – 23.6 million UAH” – stated Borys Akimenko.

In the structure of these revenues, the main tax is the personal income tax which was transferred in the amount of 204.1 million UAH – this is 20.5 million UAH more than in the same period last year. Also, the value added tax is among the key ones and was transferred in the amount of 101.8 million UAH; as well as the single tax paid in the amount of nearly 51 million UAH by the business entities.

Military levy was also transferred in a significant amount. Taxpayers of Bukovyn region paid 16.4 million UAH which exceeds the last year’s revenues by 3.2 million UAH or 24.0%.

Acting head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region Borys Akimenko noted that it is crucial to maintain a steady upward tendency in the budget revenues within the current conditions. For this purpose, the tax specialists will effectively use the updated system of automated monitoring of compliance of the tax invoices / adjustment calculations with the criteria of estimation of risk degree in order to avoid risks regarding the VAT payment and its budgetary reimbursement; will intensify the counteraction against the turnover of excisable goods (tobacco, alcohol, fuel); will continue to take active measures on legalization of wage labor and wage deduction.
