Taxpayers of Trans Carpathian region transferred 19.9 million UAH of the military levy to the budget during January 2020. For comparison, in January 2019 the military levy was paid in the amount of 16.1 million UAH for development of army.
Specialists of the Main Directorate of the STS in Trans Carpathian region point out that during 2019, the taxpayers paid 305.5 million UAH of the military levy for reformation of Ukrainian army. Compared to 2018, the amount of “patriotic tax” revenues has increased by 31 million UAH.
It should be reminded that the military levy has been introduced in Ukraine since August 2014 as an additional source of military funding and support. Rate of this payment is 1.5% of taxable income. Payers of the military levy are individuals - residents and non-residents who earn income in Ukraine. Employers are responsible for paying the levy to the budget upon the calculation of wage income in favor of the taxpayer.
Thus, since the introduction of the military levy, the taxpayers of Trans Carpathian region have already paid 1158.5 million UAH for development of Ukrainian army.
It is worth remembering that payment of the military levy is a strong every citizen’s contribution to maintain the defense capability of Ukrainian army and restore peace in our country – stated specialists of the Main Directorate of the STS in Trans Carpathian region.
