Taxpayers of Chernivtsi region transferred more than 264 million UAH of the single social contribution to state trust funds

Taxpayers of Chernivtsi region transferred 264.3 million UAH of the single social contribution to the state trust funds in January 2020 – this is 7.6 million UAH more than expected. Planned benchmark for this period is 103%. Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, the amount of contributions has increased by 30.3 million UAH.

Single social contribution accrued from wages and salaries under the civil contracts has amounted 198.9 million UAH – this accounts 75.3% of the total amount. Individuals-entrepreneurs and individuals involved in independent professional activity transferred 48.9 million UAH; single social contribution accrued on the amount of financial support for military has amounted 16.2 million UAH. 

Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region notes that the payroll of wages below the state minimum level or “in the envelopes” without payment of taxes and single social contribution, is a gross violation of constitutional norms and deprives employees from the right to a worthy future. Ensuring a steady flow of the single social contribution which directly influences financing of the social sphere in region, is one of the priority vectors of the Tax service.

It should be reminded that according to the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020” as of 01.01.2020, the minimum wage amounts 4723 UAH. As follows, the minimum amount of the single social contribution per month is 1039.06 UAH (22% of the minimum wage), accordingly, the quarterly amount is 3117.18 UAH.

Single social contribution is automatically divided by the State Treasury Service of Ukraine by types of compulsory state social insurance in accordance with specified proportions and transferred by purpose - to accounts opened in the Treasury for compulsory state social insurance and pension insurance funds.
