According to acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region Borys Akimenko the taxpayers’ integrity multiplied by the taxpayers’ responsibility and their quarantine limited control measures in the most risky areas of taxation contributed to the increase in collection of payments to the consolidated budget totaling 1684.7 million UAH of tax payments.
This figure exceeds the level of revenues during the same period in 2019 almost by 97.5 million UAH or 6.1%, including state budget by 74.3 million UAH or 11.9 %, local budgets by 23.0 million UAH or 2.4%.
State treasury received 696.9 million UAH of paid taxes for national needs. Local treasuries received 987.8 million UAH, which will be used to address the socio-economic needs of local communities in Chernivtsi region.
Also, businessmen – employers increased payment of the single social contribution by 3.6% or 37.2 million UAH and within 4 months of 2020 transferred 1.063.9 million UAH to the treasury accounts of Chernivtsi region.
Borys Akimenko noted that at present, the philosophy of the Tax service is changing dramatically – order in the tax administration sphere should be restored as soon as possible, all violations and schemes should be eliminated but at the same time we should prevent pressure on business and avoid unpopular steps.
Increasing the distance between the taxpayer and tax inspector and even more filling the administration with modern electronic services are also among the main factors.
