During January – April 2020, local budgets of Volyn received 1 billion 493 million UAH of the tax payments administered by the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service in Volyn region.
Amount of taxes received by communities is 82.6 million UAH more than during the same period in 2019.
“Issue of communities’ financial independence is especially important at a time when the efforts of all branches of government are aimed at combating the pandemic and overcoming the effects of the economic slowdown. Dynamics of tax revenues to the local budgets can be expected to be further positive only in the case of the most effective cooperation and interaction of local self-government representatives, taxpayers and STS specialists.” – emphasized acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Oleh Hyrykovych.
According to analyst, the personal income tax, land tax and single tax remain the budget-forming taxes for local communities.
“In conditions when small business entities are forced to temporarily suspend their activities, the issue of additional sources of budget revenues requires special attention. First of all, we ask employers who have working opportunity to comply with the requirements of labor and tax laws. Today, the communities’ ability to finance socio-economic projects depends on the tax discipline of each such taxpayer” – summarized acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Oleh Hyrykovych.
