Owners of luxury and expensive cars paid more than 2 million 711.0 thousand UAH of the transport tax during January – April 2020. This was reported by acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Vinnytsia region Oleh Martyniuk.
According to him, this amount is 495.9 thousand UAH or 22.4% more than planned. At the same time, amount of paid tax decreased by 171.3 thousand UAH or almost 6% comparing to the same period in 2019. This is explained by the legislative reduction in the list of cars – taxation subjects from more than 3.5 hundred to almost 170 units.
Oleh Martyniuk reminded that the transport tax is for 100% credited to local budgets. According to Ukrainian legislation, the transport tax is levied on cars with year of issuance not exceeding 5 years (inclusively) and the average market cost of which exceeds 375 times the minimum wage set for the 1st of January of the tax (reporting) year. The transport tax rate is 25 thousand UAH per year per one such car.
As for the luxury car brands for which the transport tax most is paid by individuals – residents of Vinnytsia region are MERCEDES-BENZ, various PORSCHE, LAND ROVER, RANGE ROVER and BMW.
