Taxpayers of Ternopil region paid more than 1 billion 239.1 million UAH of taxes to the state budget of Ukraine duringJanuary – May 2020. Indicative figures were fulfilled by 100.1%. As a result, the state treasury received additional 700.000 UAH.
Despite the disappointing expectations, as the business was still experiencing difficulties due to quarantine restrictions, business representatives in Ternopil region still managed to adhere to the principle of complete payment of taxes. The increase in this year’s revenues comparing to January – May 2019 has amounted 9.7% or 110.1 million UAH.
In terms of basic payments, the mostlypaidwere the value added tax –557.7 million UAH and corporate income tax – 142.1 million UAH. This is 87.4 million UAH and 7.9 million UAH more than in 2019, respectively. In addition, business representatives of Ternopil region transferred6.8 million UAH of the excise tax to the budget, which is 13.2% more than expected revenues or + 800 thousand UAH.
In total, contribution from the taxpayers of Ternopil region to the consolidated budget amounted 2 billion 893.7 million UAH during January – May 2020. Comparing to the same period in 2019, revenues have increased by 6% or 164.2 million UAH.
