In order to reduce tax debt the Tax debt department of the Main Directorate of the STS in Lviv region and separate departments of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Lviv region took a number of measures during January – April 2020. Namely:
- inventoried of property in the tax lien totaling 353.4 million UAH;
- submitted 82 lawsuits to the court for permission to repay the tax debt at the expense of cash (non-cash funds) totaling 108.5 million UAH;
- collected 22.2 million UAH to repay the tax debt from bank accounts;
- submitted 3 lawsuits to the court for permission to repay the tax debt at the expense of mortgaged debtor’s property totaling 1.5 million UAH.
As a result of these and other measures during January-April 2020, repayment of tax debts in cash amounted 67.1 million UAH (collection of funds by collection orders, sale of debtors’ property by the court decision, payment of deferred taxes and self-repayment of debt, etc.).
As of 01.05.2020, the amount of tax debt payable to the consolidated budget of Ukraine amounted 3786.8 million UAH.
