Zaporizhzhia entrepreneurs and enterprises carrying the sale of excisable products have paid 66 million UAH of the excise tax to local budgets since the beginning of year. Comparing to the same period in 2019, payments have increased by 7 million 518 thousand UAH or 13 percent. This was reported by the Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov.
In addition, 15.3 million UAH was allocated to community treasuries from licensing for the sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products. During this time, tax specialists issued 5291 licenses to business representatives, including 2248 licenses for the retail sale of alcohol, 1569 licenses for the sale of tobacco products, 4781 permits were extended, 477 documents suspended, 662 revoked, etc.

Also, 239 audits of business entities on compliance with the legislation governing the turnover of excisable products were conducted during January – May 2020. As a result, financial sanctions in the form of fines totaling 41.2 million UAH were applied.
