According to Individuals taxes and fees department of the Main Directorate of the STS in Khmelnytskyi region, based on the preliminary results of the income and property declaration campaign which ended on June 30 this year, almost 8 thousand residents of the region reported about the income received in 2019. Total amount of income amounted 827 million UAH which is 50 million UAH more than in the previous period.
According to submitted declarations, payable to the state budget tax liabilities amounted more than 33 million UAH have been determined, which is 9 million UAH more than the result of last declaration campaign. Of this amount, 28.5 million UAH is the personal income tax and almost 5 million UAH is the military levy.
It is noteworthy that income of more than 1 million UAH was declared by 43 residents of the region; total amount of income received by them amounted nearly 171 million UAH. For comparison, it should be noted that in 2019 results of the declaration campaign recorded 28 millionaires with a fortune of 136 million UAH.
The main sources of income were inheritance and property donation, real estate rental and investment income. Also, more than 2 thousand residents of the region submitted declarations in order to use the right to obtain a tax rebate totaling 6 million UAH. Tax authorities note that the refund transaction, as compensation for reimbursable expenses, can be made by the end of this year. Refund of part of the paid personal income tax in case of using the right to obtain a tax rebate is carried out within 60 calendar days after the submission of declaration by the citizen.
According to leading experts of the State Tax Service, the most convenient and efficient way to conduct a declaration campaign was the electronic format of its submission.
