Since the beginning of 2020, the tax specialists of Zaporizhzhia region jointly with representatives of other controlling structures and authorities have been conducting informational work among the employers aimed at legalizing hired labor and wages. Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov reported that explanatory measures resulted in 3 thousand citizens who were officially employed.
During the 1st half of 2020, following the results of activity of working groups at the Tax service of Zaporizhzhia region, the executive power bodies and local self-government, the heads of enterprises and entrepreneurs voluntarily legalized 2846 employees. They received 14.2 million UAH of income, which is, on average, 4723 UAH per employee. Additional budget revenues amounted 5.8 million UAH, including 2.5 million UAH of the personal income tax, 3.1 million UAH of the single social contribution and 200 thousand UAH of the military levy.
It is noteworthy that for the use of hired labor in violation of labor and tax laws there is envisaged liability, including administrative and financial sanctions. For example, for the admission of employee to work without employment contract, the part-time work in case of actual full-time work or for payment of wages without accrual and payment of the single social contribution and taxes, such individual will have to pay a fine totaling 10 minimum wages for each employee.
