“There is a positive tendency in increased payments to local budgets during 2020. Payment leaders are the personal income tax, property and the single tax” – informed Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region Yuliia Shadevska.
In general, 8.3 billion UAH was paid to the local budgets of Odessa region during January – July 2020. Payments have increased by 4.6% or 365.5 million UAH comparing to the same period in 2019.
“Currently, more and more taxpayers are demonstrating a high level of responsibility in terms of paying taxes, realizing that honest payment is the duty of every citizen.” – emphasized Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region.
The “lion’s share” of total amount of payments to local budgets is the personal income tax, namely 4.8 billion UAH which is 253 million UAH or 5.6% more than during January – July 2019.
Another important source of filling local budgets is the property tax. Regional taxpayers paid 1.7 billion UAH during 7 months of 2020, including 361.8 million UAH in July 2020 – which is 10.8 million UAH or 3. 1% more than during the same period in 2019.
In turn, “simplifiers” of Odessa region paid 1.3 billion UAH of the single tax to local budgets during January – July 2020, which is 9.3% or 112.2 million UAH more than in 2019.
Corporate income tax payment amounted 166 million UAH – which is 93.3 million UAH more than during 7 months of 2019 and excise tax on the retail sale of excisable products is 160.4 million UAH which exceeds payment during the corresponding period in 2019 by 21.7 million UAH or 15.6%.
Yuliia Shadevska noted that the increase in payment of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels is a solid foundation for the social development of Odessa region and our state.
