Budgets of all levels received 3.5 billion UAH of the personal income tax from the legal income of working residents of Khmelnytskyi region in 2020 – which is 214 million UAH more than during the same period in 2019.
According to the distribution, official wages and legal revenues of Podolians added 2.6 billion UAH to local budgets and more than 900 million UAH of revenues to the state budget.
It is noteworthy that in Khmelnytskyi region the dynamics of the employees’ number, despite the difficult economic conditions caused by the spread and counteraction to coronavirus infection, has a positive tendency and as of today it is 154 thousand individuals, which is 6 thousand more than during the same period in 2019.
“At present, the PIT payment dynamics indicates the economic activity and working potential of the business community which is ultimately confirmed by the corresponding deductions from salaries and other legal revenues to the budget. Legal business and official jobs are the basis of budgetary stability of territorial communities and state financial support, which directly depends on how transparent the labor market is and responsible employers in matters of formal employment relations with employees. Therefore, joint information and communication measures to combat undeclared work will continue to be actively pursued online.” – stated Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Khmelnytskyi region Vitalii Lazarev.
Reminder! Conclusion of employment contract enables the employee to be protected by current labor legislation in case of violation of his / her rights, namely: in case of delay in the calculation of wages, refusal to pay for performed work. At the same time, employers are obliged to send a notification of hiring an employee to the tax inspections at place of registration as payers of the single contribution to compulsory state social insurance. Such notification must be sent before the start of employee’s work under the concluded employment contract. Sample form of notification on hiring an employee was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of 17.06.2015 № 413.
