Land payment traditionally remains among the top three tax revenues to local budgets. Land payment revenues are almost 11% of general the local budgets revenues. That is why Main Directorate of the STS in Mykolaiv region pays considerable attention to the effective administration of the land tax and land rent.
Local budgets of Mykolaiv region received 419.8 million UAH of the land tax and land rent, including 314.5 million UAH of land payment from legal entities and 105.3 million UAH from individuals during January – July 2020.
It should be noted that the landowners and land users pay a fee for land from the date of ownership or right to use the land. In case of termination of ownership or land use, the tax is paid for the actual period of land’s ownership or use in the current year.
