4031 undocumented employees were involved in taxation during 7 months of 2020. Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Roman Afonov reported that these are the results, first of all, of explanatory and preventive measures with employers, which are carried out by the Tax Service jointly with the executive authorities and local self-government bodies.
As a result of this work, employees received payment of income totaling 19 million UAH. Additional revenues to the budget have amounted almost 8 million UAH, including 3.4 million UAH of the personal income tax, 4.2 million UAH of the single social contribution and 300 thousand UAH of the military levy.
Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region emphasized that in the process of legalization of the labor market, the key role has not only audits but preventive work as well. Particularly at the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration and district administrations, appropriate working groups have been set up consisting of representatives of the State Tax Service and other controlling bodies, as well as state structures that organize meetings with employers. Result of meetings is the fact that the vast majority of business leaders and entrepreneurs comply with legislative requirements and properly register their employees.
Herewith, 153 persons who worked illegally were identified due to the control measures among business entities that had risks of using undocumented hired labor. Audit materials were sent to the State Labor Inspectorate for appropriate measures.
