Business entities of Ternopil region paid 2 billion 574.6 million UAH of the personal income tax during January – August 2020, which is 123.4 million UAH more than in 2019.
“Тaxpayers transferred 652.7 million UAH of this payment out of the total amount of revenues to the state budget. Local treasuries were replenished by 1 billion 921.9 million UAH of the personal income tax” – reported Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Ivan Punko.
Tax official also emphasized that the personal income tax payers are both resident individuals who receive income from their sources of origin in Ukraine and foreign income, as well as non-resident individuals who receive income from their sources of origin in Ukraine and the tax agents.
“This payment is one of the budget-forming revenues of the local treasury. Herewith, the main part of its revenues is taxation of wages and other incomes. Therefore, counteracting the shadow processes in labor market is one among the priority tasks of the Tax service” – emphasized Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Ivan Punko.
