The increase in the value added tax payment by 24% during January – September 2020 is recorded in Volyn region. In particular, 1 billion 483 million UAH of the VAT was paid in the region during 3 quarters of 2020.
This is 288.6 million UAH more than during the corresponding period in 2019.
“We attribute positive dynamics in the VAT payment not only to economic recovery but also to a significantly better administrative process. Tax specialists systematically work to end the use of tax evasion schemes. Meanwhile, through the introduction of electronic services, the State Tax Service creates comfortable conditions for the taxpayers for timely and full payment of taxes. At the same time, pressure on business is unacceptable” – emphasized acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Olga Lishchynska.
Tax official outlined that it is an electronic format of the VAT administration, particularly effective operation of the Risk Assessment Monitoring System that allows the STS specialists to counteract dubious business operations in a timely manner.
“Process of blocking tax invoices is automatic. However, the detection of risky operations with doubtful counterparties does not mean the cessation of enterprise’s economic activity. To determine the reality and legitimacy operations, the company must provide documentary evidence. For their part, the tax authorities are considering taxpayers’ argumentations as quickly as possible” – summarized Olga Lishchynska.
