“Almost 218.9 million UAH of the military levy was transferred for army’s needs by the taxpayers of Ternopil region during January – September 2020” – reported Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Ivan Punko. He noted that revenues exceeded the expected payment by 6.1%, which is 12.6 million UAH. Revenues from this payment have increased by 11.4 million UAH or 5.5% comparing to January – September 2019.
“Our compatriots transferred 29.9 million UAH of the “patriotic” levy to the state treasury in September 2020, which exceeded the last year’s revenues by 3.4 million UAH and the expected ones by 44.7% or 9.2 million UAH.” – detailed Compared to January-September last year.
Reminder! Military levy has been introduced in Ukraine since August 2014 as an additional source of funding and support for Ukrainian army. Its rate is 1.5% of taxable income. Taxpayers of the military levy are individuals – residents and non-residents who receive income in Ukraine. Employers who accrue income in the form of wages in taxpayer’s favor are responsible for calculating levy to the budget.
