Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region reported that regional employers paid 4.3 billion UAH of single contribution to compulsory state social insurance during 10 months of 2020. The growth rate of single contribution has exceeded level of the last year’s revenues by 7% or 297 million UAH.
Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region noted that control over compliance with tax legislation on the implementation of state policy in administration of the single contribution to ensure timely implementation of pension benefits and social assistance is one of its priorities.
Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region Vitalii Chiu specified that evading official conclusion of labor relations, paying wages “in envelopes” the employer actually deprives the employee of protection of labor rights. And this is the right to basic and additional leave, payment for sick leave, assistance in injury case of accident at work, compliance with statutory working hours, unemployment benefits depending on length of service and many others.
Tax specialists remind business entities that from the 1st of September 2020 the minimum wage was increased to 5 thousand UAH. Accordingly, such increase affected the minimum amount of single contribution: from 01.09.2020 the minimum amount is 1100 UAH per month (5000 x 22%).
