Ternopil region: quarantine did not prevent the full payment of taxes

Contribution of Ternopil taxpayers to the consolidated budget of Ukraine amounted to 7 billion 577.7 million UAH during January – November 2020. “Additional revenues from our region amounted to 921.8 million UAH, as the payment exceeded the expected predictions by 13.9%. The increase is 14.4% or 954.6 million UAH comparing to the corresponding period in 2019.” – stated Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region Ivan Punko.

He detailed that business entities of Ternopil region paid 3 billion 374.2 million UAH to the state budget during January – November 2020. This exceeded revenues of January – November 2019 by 662.7 million UAH and the expected figures by 588.1 million UAH. In particular, in terms of basic payments, the most paid tax was the value added tax, it amounted to 1 billion 625.5 million UAH and corporate income tax – 269.2 million UAH.

“Most payments were transferred to the general fund of the consolidated budget of Ukraine by taxpayers of Ternopil city and Ternopil district, namely 2 billion 994.1 million UAH and 636.4 million UAH, respectively. Taxpayers of Husiatyn, Terebovlya and Pidvolochysk regions also significantly replenished the treasury. They transferred 390.3 million UAH, 366.5 million UAH and 281.7 million UAH of tax payments, respectively” – specified Ivan Punko. 

Revenues of local budgets amounted to 4 billion 203.5 million UAH, which is 291.9 million UAH more than during the corresponding period in 2019.
