Payment of the military levy is an honorary contribution of each working citizen in support of defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Taxpayers of the military levy are individuals – citizens of Ukraine and foreigners who receive income in Ukraine, as well as tax agents.
Acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Mykolaiv region Dmytro Prokofiev reported that taxpayers of Mykolaiv region paid 405.9 million UAH of military levy to the state budget during 11 months of 2020, which is 34.8 million UAH or 9.4% more than during the corresponding period in 2019.
“Stable receipt of military levy to the budget testifies to the effectiveness of measures taken by Main Directorate of the STS in Mykolaiv region to un-shadow economy, in particular, to legalize wages, as well as the responsibility and patriotism of taxpayers who faithfully fulfill their constitutional obligation to pay taxes to the budget and military levy” – stated Dmytro Prokofiev.
