Restrictions after termination of activities related to performance of state functions

Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On corruption prevention” stipulates that:

The following is forbidden for persons specified in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 Article 3 of the Law, who were authorized to perform state or local self-government functions and who resigned or otherwise terminated activities related to the performance of state or local self-government functions:

- to enter into employment agreements (contracts) or enter into operations in the entrepreneurial activity with legal entities of private law or individuals – entrepreneurs, if persons specified in the First paragraph of this Part, during a year before the termination of state or local government functions exercised authority to control, supervise, prepare or make appropriate decisions regarding activities of these legal entities or individuals – entrepreneurs within one year from the date of termination of relevant activity;

- disclose or otherwise use in their interests information that has become known to them in connection with performance of official duties, except as provided by law;

- to represent interests of any person in cases (including those that are considered by the courts) in which the other party is a body, enterprise, institution, organization in which (where) they worked at the time of termination of this activity during a year from the date of termination of relevant activity.
