Cooperation mechanisms between the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the Business Ombudsman Council were discussed by the Chairman of the State Tax Service Oleksiy Lyubchenko and the Business Ombudsman Marcin Swiecicki.
During the meeting, Chairman of the State Tax Service Oleksiy Lyubchenko focused on the main reforming directions of the Tax service and changes in emphasis during the work with taxpayers.
According to him, the main principles in work with business are openness, constructive dialogue and willingness to cooperate. Cooperation with the Business Ombudsman Council, which represents interests of business community, will contribute to the effective implementation of these principles.
STS pays a great attention to cooperation with the Business Ombudsman Council. As follows, working meetings of the tax specialists and Council’s representatives in the format of expert group meetings are systematically held and process appeals of problematic issues sent to the BOC by business entities.
Oleksiy Lyubchenko noted that the Tax Service has a task to make such meetings effective, while respecting all the rights of both business and the state. In this matter, the Business Ombudsman Council must become an impartial arbitrator who defends the legality of requirements of both parties.
