STS and Ukrainian Grain Association held a joint meeting
State Tax Service, within the framework of the communication tax platform, continues practice of holding meetings with the taxpayers’ associations.
On the 3rd of August, the Deputy Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov, the STS’s specialists had a meeting with the President of Ukrainian Grain Association Mykola Gorbachev and representatives of Ukrainian Grain Association member companies.
During the meeting were discussed problematic issues that representatives of the industry faced, namely: the suspension of tax invoices registration and the timely return of claimed for reimbursement VAT tax credit.
Specific issue raised during the meeting was the transition of Ukraine to a new standard of bank accounts – IBAN: the inability to specify account number in the IBAN format in the VAT declarations submitted more than 3 years ago and the VAT amounts which are still unreimbursed.
Participants of the meeting spoke about the need for a systematic solution of problems that are taking place.
“STS has no doubts that enterprises of the real sector of Ukrainian economy mostly conduct their business honestly and are honest taxpayers, but there are also those who use schemes and do not always conduct their activities properly and pay taxes. As follows, activities of such enterprises will be the object of increased attention of the State Tax Service” – stated Deputy Chairman of the STS Yevhen Oleinikov.
