Possible tax evasion scheme totaling more than 11 million UAH was exposed

Tax specialists of Odessa region jointly with Investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the VAT evasion scheme by entering inaccurate data in tax credit declarations through the purchase of tobacco products and not declaring their further sale.

Amount of possible VAT evasion is more than 11 million UAH.

Specialists of the Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region detected that business entity evaded payment of VAT liabilities by forming a tax credit through the purchase of tobacco products from enterprises of the real sector of economy. At the same time, the sale of such products was not declared. Balances according to the financial statements of the enterprise were absent.

Specified materials were sent to the address of Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine for investigative measures in criminal proceeding.
