Tax specialists exposed export of walnuts with unknown source of origin

Anti-money laundering department of Main Directorate of the STS in Kharkiv region processed tax information that resulted in exposing that business entity exported walnuts.

Herewith, the tax reporting was not provided to the State Tax Service. Specified business entity was not registered as a VAT payer and accordingly did not pay taxes.

Forged acts of acceptance and transfer of goods (walnuts) for more than 11 million UAH were used as documents on the origin of goods (walnuts). Individual did not submit tax declarations and did not declare income.

According to the processing and research results, the specified business entity committed actions aimed at concealing illegal origin of assets (agricultural products) with unknown origin, with their subsequent introduction into legal turnover by registration of export operations of goods totaling 114.3 million UAH. It was also established that actions aimed at concealing illegal origin of income in the form of undeclared and unpaid corporate income tax amounted to 16.9 million UAH.

According to this fact, criminal proceeding was registered under Part 1 Article 14 and Part 3 Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
