Storage of alcoholic products with forged excise marks worth 1.1 million UAH was exposed in Volyn region

Tax officials exposed storage of alcoholic products with forged excise tax marks with a total value of 1.1 million UAH.

Actual audit on the legislative compliance in production and turnover of alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products of a business entity involved in the wholesale of excise goods was conducted recently in Lutsk city.

Storage of almost 16.7 thousand bottles of vodka of a well-known brand with a capacity of 0.5 l worth 1.1 million UAH was detected during the audit. Alcoholic products were marked with fake excise tax marks.

Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Volyn region applied financial sanctions to the business entity for the total amount of 2.2 million UAH according to Part 2 of Article 17 of the Law of Ukraine № 481/95-VR as of 19.12.1995 "On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, liquids used in electronic cigarettes and fuel". Specified batch of alcoholic products was seized from turnover by the National Police of Ukraine.
