, published 25 April 2023 at 13:13

Current business taxation issues under the martial law were discussed during a "round table" meeting with participation of representatives of the VRU Committee on finance, tax and customs policy, State Tax Service and business. Meeting was held on the basis of the State Tax University, which made it possible for teachers and students of the university to join event.

Meeting was meaningful and useful for taxpayers, who had opportunity to openly communicate on tax topics, voice problematic issues and find optimal ways to resolve the situation.

Representatives of the State Tax Service reviewed individual questions of participants, gave practical advices and also expressed certain reservations and remarks regarding some of them, which will enable business to adjust their activities.

In particular, it was about registration suspension of tax invoices/adjustment calculations in the Unified Register of Tax Invoices, reasons for assigning enterprises to the risk category and mechanism for canceling such status. Value added taxation issues, specifically, operations with software products, audits of enterprises that lost property as a result of military operations also became interesting.

There also were issues regarding submission of notifications and reports on controlled foreign companies, application of penalties for late submission, prospects for eliminating discrepancies in the legislative norms regarding controlled foreign companies, in particular, regarding importance of adopting the draft law 8137, taxation of funds credited to account of individual-entrepreneur – single tax payer, opened outside of Ukraine, obligation to pay taxes in the EU country by individual – tax resident of Ukraine, in which he/she resides for more than 183 days, etc. Also, during the meeting, speakers informed about changes made to the tax legislation and innovations expected by the business.

State Tax Service will continue to participate in similar events, which provide opportunity for open dialogue with business and prompt consideration of problematic issues. Reminder! Communication tax platforms operate in bodies of the State Tax Service for operational communication with business.
