International tax community with Ukraine. russia and belarus are no longer in the IOTA

russia and belarus are no longer members of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA).

Decision was made to exclude these countries from the IOTA at the 27th General Assembly. They are rightly deprived of the opportunity to participate in the decision-making of this organization.

Acting head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko, with support of her colleagues from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Denmark, called on the assembly participants to support position regarding termination of membership of russia and belarus in the IOTA.

"We are not tired of fighting for our lives, for the future of our children and for Ukraine. Our economy and banking system are resilient, business operates and pays taxes. Everyone is in their place, everyone has their own "line of defense": on the front line, in the hospital, at the computer, in particular, like my colleagues tax officials - we all work in the war conditions. You can also make important contribution and be co-creators of peace" – head of the State Tax Service addressed participants of the event.

According to Tetiana Kiriienko, countries that systematically violate norms of the international law, agreements, kill people, destroy infrastructure, try to destroy the future of neighboring states, have no right to be a part of influential international organizations. It is necessary to isolate such countries and limit their destructive influence on world processes.

European tax community once again demonstrated its rejection and condemnation of the war crimes of russia and belarus, making its contribution to the achievement of justice.

Tetiana Kiriienko thanked tax partners from other countries - IOTA members for their solidarity and support of Ukraine at the international level.

"Despite russia's merciless and vile war against our country, we resisted. Ukraine lives and functions as a state thanks to the strength of Ukrainian people and friendly help of international partners. The IOTA solution is another significant step towards Victory" – stated Tetiana Kiriienko.
