Representatives of the State Tax Service and Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises discussed legislative changes in tax sphere

Novations in tax legislation and taxation issues that need to be resolved were discussed today by specialists of the State Tax Service during working meeting with representatives of Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises.

Participants considered taxation of light industry enterprises, taking into account tax changes, which, as of August 1, 2023, canceled the possibility for single tax payers to be in group III with the 2 percent rate. In particular, it was about calculation of the VAT liabilities for transitional operations that occurred at the enterprise in connection with return to the pre-war taxation system.

Law of Ukraine № 3219-ХХ as of 30.06.2023 "On amendments the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine regarding taxation peculiarities during the martial law" gives taxpayers whose VAT registration was automatically renewed from August 1, 2023 right to form the VAT credit not later than October 31, 2023 for products that were imported by them to the customs territory of Ukraine during suspension of the VAT payer's registration.

Specialists of the State Tax Service explained application of legal norms and provided practical recommendations for individual cases.
