Unshadowing is gradually gaining momentum, which is directly reflected in the value added tax revenues to the budget.

Over last year's fact, budget additionally received 46.3 billion UAH (+43.3%) of the VAT (balance) in January – July 2024 (the fact of 7th month of 2024 – 153.3 billion UAH, 7th month of 2023 – 107 0 billion UAH).

VAT collection for 7 months of 2024 is 236.9 billion UAH, which is +25.4%, or +47.9 billion UAH compared to 7 months of 2023 (fact of 7 months of 2023 is 189.0 billion UAH).

Drivers of the VAT growth are the following industries:

- Whole and retail sales;

- Processing industry.
