Representatives of the State Tax Service signed joint Memorandum on land resource management

Representatives of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, All-Ukrainian associations of local self-government bodies: "Association of Cities of Ukraine", "Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils", "All-Ukrainian Association of Communities", "Association of United Territorial Communities" concluded Memorandum on improving efficiency of land resource management.

Signing of Memorandum took place on August 20, 2024 during the Congress of local and regional authorities under the President of Ukraine, which was attended by acting Head of the State Tax Service Tetiana Kiriienko.

Document, particularly, provides for inventory of lands of territorial communities, normative monetary valuation of lands, restoration of state control over the use and protection of lands.

Among the directions of cooperation of signatories of the Memorandum:

- determination of main requirements and approaches to be used in inventory of lands of territorial communities;

- improvement of normative and legal framework on normative monetary valuation of land plots;

- filling in the State register of real property rights, State land cadastre;

- creation of conditions for the competitive sale of land plots and increasing revenue part of local budgets from the land tax and payment of the minimum tax liability.
