Free electronic keys for business and citizens from the State Tax Service: how to get them?

Electronic signature is no longer just a convenience, but a necessity for modern business and citizens. More than 432 thousand taxpayers used services of the Qualified Provider of Electronic Trust Services of the State Tax Service in 2024, receiving 1.15 million qualified public key certificates free of charge.

Who receives electronic keys?

Individuals are the largest group of users. 249 thousand citizens received 510 thousand qualified public key certificates.

Companies and organizations – 182 thousand legal entities received almost 643 thousand qualified public key certificates for reporting, concluding agreements and other operations.

Popular digital services:

Quick certificate renewal – 148.9 thousand payers used service of repeated (remote) certificate generation by the electronic request, which allows to renew certificate in just 2–3 minutes.

Electronic requests – 454 thousand qualified public key certificates were generated, of which 47.5 thousand were seals for PRRO.

In total, 14.5 million certificates have been issued since the launch of the State Tax Service’s service.

How to use the service?

To receive qualified electronic trust services, the following is needed:

Read rules and conditions of the service provision on website https://ca.tax.gov.ua in section "Obtaining qualified electronic trust services".

Prepare necessary registration documents (list is on the website).

Come to the registration point with original documents (addresses are indicated in the "Contacts" section on the website). If you have a passport in "Diia" (version 2.0+), you can identify yourself via your smartphone using the "Sharing" function.

Bring a storage medium to store your personal key (secure key information medium, removable flash drive, optical CD/DVD, etc.).

Please note! Registration point does not provide copying, printing or filling out documents, and does not sell or issue key media.

It is possible to renew certificate by yourself in just a few minutes through the (remote) re-generation of certificates by the electronic request service. Only users who have:

- valid certificates (for example, there are a few days left before the expiration of certificates);

- unchangeable registration data (full name, registered residence address, organization's only state register code of enterprises and organizations of Ukraine, etc.);

- private key, accessible only to the user and not compromised.

The new key will be valid for up to 2 years.
