Ruslan Kravchenko during a meeting with business associations: We must do everything to ensure that the tax authority is not perceived as an enemy

, published 06 February 2025 at 20:25

Head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko held a meeting with representatives of 23 business communities, chambers of commerce and associations. Particularly, participants were the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Business Ombudsman Council, European Business Association, Taxpayers Association and Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs. As the participants noted, this is the first meeting of this level since the start of the full-scale war.

"We talked about the main thing: how to support every taxpayer, business and do everything together so that the Tax Service is not automatically perceived as an enemy. I have already received the first positive feedback on the radical changes introduced by our team in work of the State Tax Service" – stated Ruslan Kravchenko.

First of all, we are talking about the situation with the reduction in the number of blocking tax invoices and the classification of enterprises into the risky category.

"We are moving towards a systematic solution to problems, improving functioning of monitoring system of tax risks during registration of tax invoices, and organizing work of regional consulting centers that would help business solve relevant issues" – he added.

Another issue discussed was the tax authorities’ enforcement of court decisions from the moment they become legally binding, as this is fundamentally important for restoring trust.

Functioning of the “white business club” was also discussed.

"I often hear complaints that business should not be divided into "white" and "black". There are companies that may not meet formal criteria, but at the same time pay taxes properly. Therefore, we will discuss and possibly change systemic approaches to the formation of such business community. Rules are the same for everyone!" – added Head of the State Tax Service.

Separate focus is the counteraction against the shadow sector, especially in areas such as tobacco production, agricultural sector, sale of electronics, as well as payment of salaries in the envelopes.

"Work continues and synergy with honest business is needed here. I suggested that associations actively participate in meetings with businesses in the regions. As together we must create comfortable conditions for every taxpayer. I am open to dialogue and strive to build honest and transparent rules of operation together" – he added.
