Tax officials stopped illegal activity of a poker club in Kyiv

Employees of the State Tax Service exposed illegal activity of a gambling hall in Kyiv, which operated as a sports poker club.

During the audit of a club, tax officials conducted a test purchase of poker chips and their return. This confirmed that the establishment provides gambling services, although it specializes in sports poker, which does not require a license. 

Both operations were carried out without cash registers. This was recorded by the body-worn video recorders.

In addition, alcoholic beverage was purchased during the audit. It was also sold without issuing a fiscal check, transaction was not carried out through a cash register.

Enterprise did not have licenses to conduct activities related to the organization and conduction of gambling in gambling halls and right to the retail alcohol sale. 

Tax officials, together with representatives of the National Police, made inventory of equipment used for illegal activity for its subsequent seizure. 

Alcoholic beverages sold in a gambling hall were seized from illegal circulation. Enterprise will be fined.
