Leaders of the transport tax payments in 2025 – Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk region

The transport tax continues to provide stable revenues to local budgets - according to the results of 2025, 249.8 million UAH of tax was received.

Compared to the 2024, revenues increased by 13.7% or almost 30 million UAH.

The biggest volumes of transport the tax payments are in the following regions:

- Kyiv city - 74.1 million UAH;

- Dnipropetrovsk region - 24.9 million UAH;

- Odesa region - 20.9 million UAH;

- Kyiv region - 18.5 million UAH.

Transport tax payers are individuals and legal entities, including non-residents, who are owners of passenger cars registered in Ukraine that meet taxation criteria:

- not more than 5 years have passed since their year of manufacture (inclusively);

- average market cost of the car is more than 375 times the minimum wage established as of January 1 of the tax (reporting) year.

Ministry of Economy determines such cost of the car and annually, by February 1, posts on its official website list of passenger cars that are subject to the transport tax for the current year.
