Local budgets received more than 40.5 billion UAH in January 2026. This is + 14.2% or 5 billion UAH compared to January 2025. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.
"Russian military aggression, lack of heat and light have changed economic reality of the country. Despite this, responsibility of taxpayers and capacity of communities are growing. This is a key financial resource of territorial communities, which is directed towards the implementation of socially important initiatives and development of infrastructure" – she added.
The main share of revenues, namely almost 60% is steadily formed by the personal income tax.
Total amount of paid personal income tax amounted to 23.2 billion UAH, which is 17.2% more than the last year.
Contributions to community budgets were also provided by:
- single tax – 9.2 billion UAH (increase of 7.4%);
- property tax – 5.1 billion UAH (+15.7%);
- tourist tax – 28.4 million UAH (+14.3%);
- environmental tax – 28.1 million UAH (+39.5%);
- parking fee – 17 million UAH (+11.5%).
"We are grateful to Ukrainian business that continues to operate and fulfill their tax obligations. For its part, the Tax Service focuses not only on tax administration, but also on comprehensive support for the taxpayers – development of digital services, provision of consulting assistance and formation of transparent and understandable interaction rules" – Lesya Karnaukh emphasized.
