876.5 million UAH – that’s how much has been collected to the budget due to the new automated tax debt collection system. This was informed by acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh on the Facebook page.
The system started working in August 2025. During this time, funds were debited from more than 8.7 thousand taxpayers.
“Since the beginning of 2026 alone, 323.1 million UAH has already been collected from 3900 taxpayers to repay tax debt. This is 162 million UAH more than for the same period in 2025, and exceeds the last year's figure by 3.1 times” – she added.
This became possible in consequence of the established electronic interaction between the State Tax Service, State Treasury Service of Ukraine and payment service providers.
“Everything is automated, without additional intervention. If there are funds on the debtor’s account, the write-off occurs almost instantly – without delays and unnecessary procedures” – Lesya Karnaukh stated.
Everything works transparently, quickly and exclusively within the legislative framework. Mechanism is applied only after the debt is agreed and the payer has had every opportunity to pay it voluntarily.
Automated collection system applies only to legal entities. Debts of individuals and individuals-entrepreneurs is regulated by other legislation and falls under competence of the State Enforcement Service.
Previously, the process of collecting tax debts could take much longer due to the need to prepare paper documents. It was often delayed due to technical or organizational difficulties. Now the system minimizes such risks and ensures maximum efficiency.
“Tax system is changing and modernizing. We are introducing transparent rules, digital solutions and minimal human intervention” – emphasized acting Head of the State Tax Service.
