In 2019, the environmental tax revenues amounted to 365 million UAH in Zaporizhzhia region. Acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Ruslan Rachynskyi stated that compared to 2018, business entities have increased their deduction by 72.8 million UAH.
According to the budget allocation, the state treasury received 187 million UAH of the environmental taxes – this is 42% more than in 2018; local budgets received 178 million UAH – this amount exceeded level of 2018 by 11%.
More than 300 million UAH of the total amount was transferred by the business entities of Energodar, Kamyansko-Dniprovsky and Velikobilozersky districts. Business entities of Vilnyanskoho and Novomykolaiv districts transferred 21 million UAH, Zaporizhzhia city - 17.8 million UAH, Zaporizhzhia district - 10 million UAH, Berdyansk, Berdyansk and Primorsky districts - 4 million UAH, Melitopol city, Melitopol and Veselovsky district - 3.6 million UAH, Pologovskyi, Belmatsky and Roziv districts - over 3 million UAH.
Please note that in line with the legislative changes in 2019, the environmental tax rate for carbon dioxide emissions has been raised from 0.41 to 10 UAH per ton. In total, the environmental tax for polluting emissions was paid by 2.5 thousand businesses in 2019.
