Tax service of Poltava region additionally ensured payment of wages by more than 1050 enterprises of Poltava region

Un-shadowing of taxation economy is one of spheres in the work of Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Poltava region. It is not a secret that some employers evade their tax obligations and pay wages to their employees in the “envelope”.

Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region jointly with the of State Labor Department in Poltava region and Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Poltava region conduct joint actions aimed to clarify legislation regarding the need to register employment relations as one of guarantees of the socio - economic rights of employees, these measures are taken according the Order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine on the un-shadowing of employment and monitoring compliance with the labor laws.

“Over the past year, more than 1200 hired employees have been additionally employed. At the same time, the relevant work was not only related to the clarification but also towards control over the payment of wages, which should be not less than the minimum level” – stated acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region Alla Riabkova during a press briefing.

Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region has additionally ensured an increase in payment of wages by more than 1050 enterprises of Poltava region and more than 750 individuals – entrepreneurs over 2019. And this, in turn, has increased revenues to the state and local budgets in terms of payment of the personal income tax, military levy and single social contribution.

Particular attention is also paid to the newly registered taxpayers who are currently registered. First and foremost they undergo the explanatory work regarding the legal registration of employees. Tax specialists of the Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region conduct control and verification measures in this direction.

As a result of such measures violations have been identified and penalties have been applied over 2019, subsequently more than 30 million UAH has been additionally provided to the budget.

“We draw attention of employees to themselves regarding the fact that employment contract is your guarantee and opportunity to protect your rights. That is why you jeopardize your economic interests not using right on proper employment relationship. Joining the company, you need to require the employer to be legally registered, and in the refusal case, you have the right to contact the supervisory authorities with appropriate complaints, verbally or in writing form or send an E-mail. In this way, you have the opportunity to protect yourself and your rights.” – summarized acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Poltava region Alla Riabkova.
