Taxpayers of Ternopil region transferred 3.6 million UAH more than expected to support the army in January 2020. In total, the state budget received 23 million 550.7 thousand UAH of the military levy. Compared to January 2019, payment of the specified tax has increased by 5 million 599.7 thousand UAH or by 31.2%.
Main Directorate of the STS in Ternopil region noted that each resident who receives official wage or declares income can confidently claim to be financially supportive of the national army. After all, in such way an individual pays the military levy which goes to the general fund of the state budget and then - to support the army. Legislation envisages that this payment is accrued from the income of individuals.
It should be reminded that the military levy has been introduced in Ukraine since August 2014 as an additional source of funding and support for the army which performs missions in the Joint Forces Area. Collection rate is 1.5%.
