Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region reported that property owners of Rivne region transferred 12.3 million UAH to the local budgets in January 2020 – this is 21% or 2.2 million UAH more than revenues in January 2019.
“Development of infrastructure, education and health care, attractiveness of the area for investors – this all depend on responsible attitude of the residents of Rivne region regarding payment of taxes. I am confident that due to the coordinated interaction of local governments, regional Tax service and taxpayers – local budgets will continue to grow. Tax revenue is a major prerequisite for sufficient local budget’s financial resources to address the social problems of Rivne region” – emphasized acting head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Rivne region Vitalii Chui.
It should be reminded that the taxpayers – legal entities independently calculate amount of the tax as of the 1st of January of the reporting year and by the 20th of February of the same year must submit the annual declaration with amount divided into equal shares quarterly to the tax authorities of Rivne region at the location of the object / objects of taxation.
Tax authorities of Rivne region at place of the tax address inform about the amount of accrued tax on real estate of citizens – individuals by handing in the tax notification-decision by the 1st of July of the reporting year. In case of disagreement with tax amount specified in the tax notification-decision, citizens have the right to contact the tax authority at the place of registration and to verify the data. However, they have to do so within 60 days of receiving the tax notification- decision because penalty will be accrued at the end of this period and until the actual payment.
