6032 citizens who declared more than 541 million UAH of income submitted property and income tax declarations for 2019 across Chernihiv region as of 01.05.2020. Of the total number, 4068 declarants or 67.4% are citizens obliged to declare income. Citizens have independently determined more than 8.9 million UAH of the income tax and 1.7 million UAH of the military levy payable to the budget.
The rest of citizens (1964) submitted tax declarations in order to obtain a tax rebate. According to the results of internal audits of property and income declarations, more than 3.4 million UAH of personal income tax has already been returned from the budget to citizens.
According to the level of declared income, the most active declarants are residents of Chernihiv (215.7 million UAH), as well as Nizhyn (43.8 million UAH) and Pryluky (38.9 million UAH).
As for the level of determined tax liabilities, the priority also belongs to Chernihiv city – more than 3.7 million UAH of the personal income tax liabilities and 0.7 million UAH of the military levy have been declared for payment.
Please note that the Tax Code of Ukraine was amended, which stipulates that citizens and individuals pursuing independent professional activity have the right to submit declaration for the reporting (tax) year 2019 by the 1st of July 2020. The last day for submitting the declaration is the 30th of June 2020. Tax liabilities specified by such individuals in declarations must be paid by the 1st of October 2020.
