Budgets of all levels received 46.400.000 UAH due to tax debt repayment during January-April 2020. Acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Zaporizhzhia region Petro Filimonov reported that 32 million 300 thousand UAH of this amount was transferred to the state treasury and 14 million 100 thousand UAH to local budgets.
Tax specialists of the Zaporizhzhia have submitted more than a hundred lawsuits to recover arrears amounting almost 43 million UAH since the beginning of 2020. At present, 29 of them have been satisfied in the amount of 23 million UAH, the amount of 2.7 million UAH has already been paid to the budget.
Also during this time, 1.8 million UAH was collected from the debtors’ accounts by payment claims. About 4 million UAH was charged from enterprises that are in bankruptcy proceedings to the budget, 400 thousand UAH from the sale of receivables, and so on.
In addition, a bad tax debt of 192.5 million UAH was written off, including 182.6 million UAH due to the liquidation of bankrupt debtors during January – April 2020.
It should be reminded that in case of the tax debt occurrence, the taxpayer has right to address application on installments and deferral of monetary obligations or the tax debt to tax authority. This rule is established by Article 100 of the Tax Code of Ukraine and the relevant procedure was approved by the Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine as of 30.11.2012 № 1261.
