1.686 million UAH of the personal income tax was paid from the officially paid salary and other legal incomes of Volyn residents during January – May 2020.
Amount of paid personal income tax in Volyn region is currently 4% higher than in 2019.
Given the unfavorable economic factors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the still positive dynamics of the PIT payment convinces about the socially responsible position of business representatives and the quality process of tax administration by the State Tax Service – was stated at the Main Department of the STS in Volyn region.
“Even extremely difficult economic conditions are not a reason not to pay personal income tax, provided that the company operates and has employees. It is the personal income tax paid from the officially paid salary and the military tax that are used by the state and local self-government to resolve the most pressing issues. Therefore, we sincerely thank the representatives of entrepreneurs who, in the context of the coronary crisis, not only make every effort to preserve production, but also care about the state interests and adhere to guarantees in the remuneration of employees.” – emphasized Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Svitlana Savchuk.
Head of the Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region outlined that due to a number of restrictions in connection with the pandemic, the STS specialists are conducting interviews with employers on topical issues of salary payroll by the video conference.
“Budgetary stability of each community largely depends on the completeness of employment legalization, as well as orderly land relations. So during meetings with citizens, each community leader will be reminded about benefits of legal employment” – summarized Svitlana Savchuk.
