Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region informed that Bukovynians paid 88.1 million UAH of the military levy from their income during January – May 2020, which is 5.0 million UAH more than revenues during the same period in 2019.
According to Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernivtsi region Vitalii Shpak, despite the quarantine, the tax authorities intensified informational and explanatory measures aimed at preventing payment of salaries in the “envelopes” and ensured the implementation of indicative figures for the payment of “salary” tax. More than 16.8 million UAH of the military levy was transferred in May 2020 within planned target of 16.6 million UAH.
Since the beginning of introduction of the military levy (since August 3, 2014), the Bukovynians have paid 872.7 million UAH for the reform Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014 –29.6 million UAH, in 2015 this amount was 88.3 million UAH, in 2016 – 106.2 million UAH, in 2017 – 148.6 million UAH, in 2018 – 189.2 million UAH, in 2019 – 222.7 million UAH, in January-May 2020 – 88.1 million UAH.
