As of the beginning of June 2020, the number of 58662 basic taxpayers was registered at the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service in Ternopil region. Most of registered business entities are private entrepreneurs which is 34879 individuals. There are 23783 business entities in the region. Comparing to the same period in 2019, the number of legal entities increased by 650 or 2.8%; entrepreneurs increased by 567 or 1.7%.
Only in May 2020, the number of 397 taxpayers was registered, of which 61 are legal entities and 336 are individuals – entrepreneurs. During this time, 298 business entities, including 8 legal entities and 290 individuals – entrepreneurs, ceased their activities.
