Kherson residents transferred 145 million UAH for Ukrainian military

Kherson residents paid 145.5 million UAH of the military levy to the budget for Ukrainian military during the 1st half of 2020. Revenues growth is 6.4 million UAH comparing to the last year’s revenues during the same period. This was reported by specialists of the Main Directorate of the STS in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city.

More than a half or 65% of the total revenues were paid by the taxpayers and citizens of Kherson administration. They transferred 95.3 million UAH of taxes for Ukrainian army. Taxpayers of Novokakhovka and Henichesk administration transferred 37.6 million UAH and 12.6 million UAH of the military levy, respectively to the budget in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

 Taxpayers of Kherson region are responsible for calculation and payment of the military levy for protection of the state sovereignty, guarantees of stability and strengthening of Ukrainian economic security.

Reminder: since August 2014 due to Russian aggression in Ukraine and in accordance with the Law of Ukraine as of 31.07.2014 №1621-VII “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine” established payment of the military levy. According to the Tax Code of Ukraine, “object of taxation undergoing application of the military levy is, particularly, income in the form of wages, other incentive and compensation payments or other payments and rewards accrued (paid, provided) to the taxpayer in connection with employment:. Collection rate is 1.5%.
