According to the results of Declaration campaign – 2020, property and income tax declarations for 2019 were submitted by 13408 citizens of Chernihiv region who declared more than 1.3 billion UAH of income. Of the total number of declarants, 10861 are citizens or 81% are people obliged to declare income. Citizens have independently determined more than 29.1 million UAH of the personal income tax payable to the budget, which is 13.9 million UAH more than in 2019 and 4.9 million UAH of the military levy, which is 1.9 million UAH more than in 2019.
The remaining citizens (2547) submitted tax declarations in order to obtain a tax rebate. More than 5.3 million UAH of the personal income tax has already been reimbursed from the budget according to the results of the internal audit of property and income declarations.
In terms of income the most active declarants are citizens of Chernihiv region (450.5 million UAH), as well as residents of Pryluky (176.1 million UAH) and Bakhmatskyi district (100.4 million UAH).
As for the level of tax liabilities determination, the priority belongs to Bakhmatskyi district, namely more than 11.8 million UAH of the personal income tax liabilities and 1.1 million UAH of the military levy have been declared for payment.
Please note that the Tax Code of Ukraine has been amended to stipulate that the tax liabilities determined by individuals in the annual property and income tax declaration for 2019 must be paid by October 1, 2020.
