Taxpayers of Carpathian region transferred 174.6 million UAH of military levy to the budget during January – July 2020. Comparing to 7 months of 2019, this year’s payment of military levy for reforming Ukrainian army was paid by 5.1 million UAH more. Particularly, revenues from this levy amounted 23.7 million UAH in July 2020.

Specialists of Main Directorate of the STS in Carpathian region noted that transparently and systematically paying this “patriotic tax”, all categories of business actively support Ukrainian army. As a result, since the military levy began to accrue in Ukraine (since August 2014), regional taxpayers have replenished the state budget with contributions to the army totaling more than 1.31 billion UAH. This testifies to the sincere desire of Carpathian residents to have modern army that will guarantee peace.

Reminder! Military levy was introduced in Ukraine in August 2014 as additional source of funding and support for the army. The tax rate is 1.5% of taxable income. Taxpayers of the military levy are individuals – residents and non-residents who receive income in Ukraine. Employers who accrue income in the form of wages in the taxpayer’s favor are also responsible for calculating levy to the budget.
